Promoting Positivity
Love Hartlepool has the following aims:
Love Hartlepool was established in 2019 as a result of negative press about our town. Led by far sighted public servants a group of leaders and business people gathered together to focus on being positive about the town and its many positive attributes.
This work followed on the back of work across the town where many people repeatedly stated how much they Love Hartlepool. The campaign was born.
- To highlight and recognise the huge amount of positive activity already taking place on a day to day basis in the town
- To contribute to economic and personal prosperity by creating positivity within and about our town
- To make it easier for people (both inside and outside the town) to find out what is taking place in Hartlepool with regard to events, sport, leisure, culture, health and well-being and to dispel the myth that there is ‘nothing to do in Hartlepool’
- To support residents, businesses and organisations to work collectively on issues being faced within the town
- To make it easier for likeminded individuals, groups and organisations to connect up to achieve their goals
- To provide leadership to any agreed work programmes and activities in service of improving the town
It is easy to be negative and cynical. Love Hartlepool sets out to be positive about the town, to focus on what we have, to work with what we have got, to work for improvement where it is needed and not to be defeated by those who choose negativity.
